National Watersports Centre, Nottingham
Relay x 4 – 500m Swim – 15k Bike – 5km Run Tag Relay
A fun, team challenge like no other in triathlon! The ‘organised chaos’ of the Triathlon Relays attracts up to 2000 athletes taking part in men’s, women’s and mixed relay teams of four athletes. All relays take place on Saturday 24 August, with a morning and an afternoon wave.
Triathlon, a different way
Each member of the team swims 500m, before tagging their team mate until all four have swum. Each athlete then completes a 15km bike ride, until the fourth team member then tags the first team member to start a 5km run. The fourth athlete gets to finish off the event, running around the Regatta Lake to finish in front of the grandstand under the Triathlon England gantry.
Directions to National Water Sports Centre
Sat-Nav users are advised to use the name National Water Sports Centre or Adbolton Lane, rather than the postcode as some Sat-Nav’s will direct you to Colwick Race Course as opposed to the Centre.
The National Water Sports Centre is a 10-minute drive from Nottingham train station.
