the journey from individual to athlete

Tri Society is a proudly family-run business with triathlon running through its veins.

Iain Hamilton first fell in love with the sport back in 1985 and went on to race professionally in his early 20s, winning medals at European and World Championships. When he swapped racing for organising, he didn’t slow down — becoming one of the UK’s most experienced event directors. From helping deliver the London 2012 Olympic Triathlon to founding the Outlaw Triathlon Series, Iain’s spent a lifetime creating events that athletes love coming back to.

Teresa Hamilton brings the heart, energy and organisation that keeps everything on track. After managing major sporting brands earlier in her career, she stepped away from corporate life to raise Ella and Lia — before returning to lead the athlete management side of the business. Teresa now works with world-class athletes and global brands, negotiating partnerships and championing their success every step of the way. She’s the cheerleader-in-chief, and the first to celebrate every podium finish.

Lia Hamilton looks after all things marketing and social media across Tri Society events. She’s the creative one behind the posts, videos and adverts that keep our athletes inspired and informed. With a real eye for design and detail, Lia helps bring the fun, inclusive spirit of our events to life online and in person.

Ella Hamilton is the Commercial and Marketing Lead for the Cambridge Half Marathon, where she heads up campaigns, partnerships and communications. When she’s not managing one of the UK’s most popular running events, you’ll spot her at other Tri Society races — helping athletes, supporting the crew, and keeping everything running smoothly (usually with a big smile and a coffee in hand).
