Ironman Cozumel Win

Ironman Cozumel Win – Comeback of the year

French professional Arthur Horseau delivered a remarkable comeback victory at IRONMAN Cozumel 2025, winning in 7:48:18 and securing his qualification for the IRONMAN World Championship after a long period away from the top step.

Horseau exited the water in 49:01, leaving him well off the front of the race, but produced one of the performances of the day on the bike. His blistering 4:06:22 bike split was the fastest in the field, hauling him back into contention and setting up a decisive run. He closed the race with a controlled yet aggressive 2:47:35 marathon, pulling clear to take a convincing win in the heat of Cozumel.

The victory marks a major milestone in Horseau’s return to elite racing. After stepping away from full-time competition to focus on his health, personal life and long-term wellbeing, he never fully let go of his ambitions in triathlon. That belief has now been rewarded.

From a management perspective, Horseau was the second athlete to join Tri-Society, introduced in mid-2024 by his coach Richard Laidlow. Since then, the focus has been on rebuilding confidence, consistency and enjoyment in the sport — a process that culminated in Sunday’s emphatic win.

Cozumel confirmed it: Arthur Horseau is well and truly back.
